Rob Spear is an educator and advisor. As a leader in the emotional growth and experiential education movement, Rob brings his tremendous personal resources and experience to the many businesses, educators, families and individuals with whom he consults across the country. As a speaker and facilitator, you will find Rob to be both inspiring and compelling.

Rob began his professional education at Ashland College in Ohio. An avid student of philosophy, Rob's passion naturally evolved in the arena of teaching. His thirty-year career has ranged from teaching all subjects to three grades in a single classroom to the design and leadership of one of the pioneer emotional growth systems in the country. After serving as a public school principal, a college director, and private school admissions head, Rob accepted a major challenge and moved his family from the East Coast to northern Idaho. Ultimately, serving as chief operating officer for a large and prestigious private school system, Rob expanded this organization from three to five residential schools and developed an outdoor, experiential program for working with at risk youth from all over the world. In this role, Rob was able to implement his most deeply held beliefs and philosophies concerning individuals, learning, and the nature of healthy organizations.

Desiring to bring these positive strategies to enrich the lives of a broader range of professionals and families, Rob began his own company - Deliberate Directions in 1999. Since that time, Rob has provided consultation and advice to many individuals, families, school systems and businesses across the nation. Whether in the role of business advisor, coach, teacher, mentor or mediator, Rob Spear has set out to enrich the lives of those with whom he has come in contact. His commitment to creating greater joy, fulfillment and wealth for these individuals has been attested to time and again by their successes.
